Reality Vs Rhetoric Of "Green Energy"

The numbers, and facts, just do not lie.

Hey folks,

Barack Obama was in Iowa Saturday campaigning. He was once again calling for more throwing away of your money. He was talking about MORE stimulus to the "Green Energy" scam. He also called Mitt Romney's plans to improve the economy "retreads of the same old" Republican policies.

Well, in the case of energy. Yup. Why? Because it WORKS. If you have been listening to Romney's Energy Plan, you may think he is reading from a speech written by me. I even had someone say, "Did you write his plan? Sounds just like he was reading from your Blog." No. I didn't write his Energy Plan, but it does sound just like what I have been telling you for years, because what I have been telling you for years, and what seems to be his plans, are FACTS and TRUTH.

If we drill more, use more Natural Gas, and finish the Keystone Pipeline, we WILL be energy independent in less than ten years. We would:

Increase National Security. No longer having to rely on foreign governments for our most basic of needs. Energy. No longer would the turmoil in the Middle East have much of an effect on our energy prices.

Increase Jobs. To the tune of tens of thousands, practically over night. Hundreds of thousands in time. More people working, more people spending, better economy.

Increase supply to the national and world demand.

Decreasing prices on everything. Decrease the price of energy, costs on everything effected will decrease as well. For all.

Instead of costing tax payers hundreds of billions, it would cost tax payers NOTHING. Not one dine. Those that will be spending the money will be Exon Mobile, Shell, ETC. It will NOT add to the deficit. It would instead, increase revenue to all forms of Government. To the tune of a Trillion dollars total.

These are just facts folks. Barack's plan? Continue to throw Billions of dollars away on a failed Energy Policy, that has proven to be nothing more than a money laundering scheme. A pay back to friends that helped him get elected, and an attempt to get him re-elected.

Again, here is the list of what Obama and crew have thrown money away on. Solar Trust of America, LLC. 2.1 BILLION, Solyndra, $500 million, Abound Solar, Energy Conversion Devices, BrightSource, LSP Energy, Evergreen Solar, Ener1, SunPower, Beacon Power, ECOtality, A123, Uni-Solar, Azure Dynamics, Nevada Geothermal Power NGP, Amonix. That's to date.

So Obama said this at Morningside College in Sioux City....

"They were going so far backwards you might as well have watched it on black-and-white TV. Put some rabbit ears on the convention hall."

Some guy named Rob got up and talked about him and his family, and how he relies on free money from the government to keep his job. Obama said this.

"You just saw Rob. He looks pretty real to me. I wasn't imagining him up here talking, was I? He has been in the wind energy business for nearly 20 years. He and his wife Tara now have 27 employees. Nearly 7,000 jobs in Iowa depend on the wind industry. These jobs aren't fads; they're our future. 

It's time to stop giving a $4 billion taxpayer subsidy to oil companies that are making money every time you go to the pump. And let's give some tax breaks to wind energy and homegrown energy and biofuels that are creating jobs right here in Iowa. That's the choice in this election. That's what we're fighting for."

Rob has been in the energy business for 20 years? What has he produced? What are him and his 27 employees producing? Are they full time employees? Do they have benefits? How much Government money has Rob and his company already received? I know, we are not suppose to ask these questions.

This is so convoluted it's no even funny. First, Oil Companies get ZERO tax money. ZERO. They get tax breaks. Now some argue that perhaps that should be looked at. OK. But they do NOT get $4 Billion of your money. The only time your tax money is involved, is when you gas up, heat your home, ETC. That money does not go to them. It goes to Obama. The Government. Oil Companies get ZERO tax money.

It's time we give "tax breaks" to Wind? They do not get tax breaks. They GET subsidies. They GET free money. In some cases millions of YOUR money. They produce, NOTHING. This garbage makes me so angry I can't even tell ya.

All these "Green Energy" companies take the money, line their pockets, and disappear. A lot of that money, goes right back into the Democrat Party. Most, we never see again. Nor, do we ever see anything for it. Obama touts Wind, Solar, and other "Green Energy" companies all the time. Although, he seems to be staying away from Solar right now. {Smile} Wonder why?

However, it's not just Solar. It is Wind. It IS "Green Energy" companies of all types. Like...

Energy Conversion Devices: On February 14, 2012 Energy Conversion Devices, Inc. and its subsidiaries filed for bankruptcy. ECOtality, a San Francisco green-tech company that never earned any money on the verge of bankruptcy after receiving roughly $115 million in two loan guarantees from Obama.

Remember, a lot of the "Green Energy" Stimulus went to outsourcing over seas. They have attempted to spin this, but it is fact. Other programs like the ones to make your homes more "green" have failed as well. Here is such a case. $10 million grant, goes to Omaha City. They create the reEnergize program. A program to make homes more energy efficient. The goal? 3,193 homes with energy-saving improvements and create or save 300 jobs. So far? 117 homes.

That's right. 117 homes have received green energy upgrades. They have spent 3.5 million. On what? 117 homes? Nope. On administrative overhead, consulting fees, ineffective marketing and failed contracts. People taking the money and running. They only have nine more months to spend it or lose it. I bet you they will spend it and ask for more.

Again folks. We use our own resources, it INCREASES revenue to the government. It does not cost the tax payers a dime. Romney's plan will work. I believe the numbers and time frame he gave are conservative. I would be willing to bet it could be done in half the time. We would also see immediate effects on the price of gas.

In a sane world, this would be a no brainer. With a sane and Conservative Leader, it will be. We can not continue to throw money we do not have, away on things that do not work. In the hopes of Political favor. We need a real plan and a real solution. Romney Energy Plan is exactly that.
