Penn State Needs To Pay

People need to go to jail.

Hey folks, 

 Jerry Sandusky is the demon. He is the tool of torture and disgust. However, he is not alone. If I was to rob a Bank, and the Guard that is there to protect the Bank and the Employees, turns his back and looks out the window, he is just as guilty as I, in the commission of the crime. When caught, we would both, go to jail.

The more that we learn about this case, the more evident it becomes, that there are many more people that need to be held accountable than just Jerry Sandusky. The following is a CNN Report on this. It is a bit long, but I really encourage you to read the whole thing. Following it, I will post the links. Check out this report for yourselves and YOU decide. Am I wrong here?

State College, Pennsylvania (CNN) -- The most powerful leaders at Penn State University showed "total and consistent disregard" for child sex abuse victims while covering up the attacks of a longtime sexual predator, according to an internal review into how the school handled a scandal involving its former assistant football coach.

Investigators conducted more than 400 interviews and found that several officials had "empowered" Jerry Sandusky to continue his abuse, while Joe Paterno, the school's legendary head football coach, could have stopped the attacks had he done more, investigators said Thursday.

In a scandal that has shaken Pennsylvania residents and gripped the nation, leading to Paterno's dismissal and the ouster of longtime president Graham Spanier, Louis Freeh, the former FBI director who led the review, said top university officials forged an agreement to conceal Sandusky's sexual attacks more than a decade ago.

"There are more red flags here than you can count," said Freeh, emphasizing the abuse occurred just "steps away" from where Paterno worked in the university's Lasch Building.

Freeh's 267-page report is the product of a Penn State-funded investigation, which is separate from a government investigation into charges of perjury and failure to report abuse pinned against the school's former Athletic Director Tim Curley and ex-Vice President Gary Schultz.

The Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office is investigating what Penn State knew about a 2001 incident of child sex abuse by Sandusky, reported by then-graduate assistant Mike McQueary, and how it was handled.

Neither McQueary, Sandusky nor Paterno -- who died in January -- were interviewed by Freeh's team and no trial date has been set for Curley and Schultz, though proceedings are expected to begin later in July.

The prosecution of Curley and Schultz comes on the heels of the widely watched Sandusky trial, in which the former defensive coordinator was convicted of sexually abusing young boys over 15 years.

"Our most saddening and sobering finding is the total disregard for the safety and welfare of Sandusky's child victims by the most senior leaders at Penn State," Freeh wrote. "The most powerful men at Penn State failed to take any steps for 14 years to protect the children who Sandusky victimized."

He blamed Spanier, Schultz, Paterno and Curley for having "never demonstrated ... any concern for the safety and well-being of Sandusky's victims until after Sandusky's arrest," while the board of trustees failed to perform their oversight duties.

That collective failure "to protect against a child sexual predator harming children" lasted "more than a decade," and allowed Sandusky to further harm his victims, the full report says.

Trustee Kenneth Frazier, head of the committee addressing the Sandusky scandal, said the school's board of trustees is "deeply ashamed" of its lack of oversight identified in the report.

He said the board's 32 members -- none of whom plan to resign -- as well as university administrators are accountable for what happened. He pledged corrective measures to ensure that an "event like this can never happen again in the Penn State community."

Karen Peetz, trustees chairwoman, said "61 years of excellent service that Joe (Paterno) gave to the community is now marred."

Freeh's report outlined a culture of secrecy at top university levels, noting an incident in which janitors aware of the abuse took no action, out of fear.

"They witness what I think in the report is probably the most horrific rape that's described," Freeh told reporters. "And what do they do? They panic." One janitor, a Korean War veteran, said it was "the worst thing he's ever seen." He and other janitors were "alarmed and shocked," but were afraid that if they reported it they'd be fired.

Attorneys for Curley and Schultz said Freeh did not have access to critical witnesses and came up with an incomplete report.

Curley's attorney termed it a "lopsided document that leaves the majority of the story untold."

"A complete record can and will be made in a court of law, aided by the power of subpoena, where all of the witnesses are subject to thorough cross-examination," attorney Caroline Roberto said in a statement.

Tom Farrell, Schultz's attorney, said at trial the jury will learn that McQueary never told his client that he witnessed Sandusky engaging in anal sex with a boy. Evidence will show Schultz did not have secret files on Sandusky and that there was no effort among the four leaders to conceal Sandusky's behavior, Farrell said in a statement.

Attorneys for Spanier and Sandusky did not immediately respond to CNN's requests for comment.

The review casts a shadow over the school's storied football program and over the career of Paterno, who was widely beloved for bringing Penn State football to national prominence.

Scott Paterno, son of the former head football coach, told CNN contributor Sara Ganim, reporting for The Patriot-News, that "we wish (Joe Paterno had) been more aggressive in following up."

"But clearly he thought it had been handled," he said, referring to the 2001 report of Sandusky's abuse of a minor.

"There wasn't anything more Joe Paterno could have done because it was an unsubstantiated allegation," the younger Paterno said. "I know my father did not know Jerry was a pedophile and did not suspect he was a pedophile."

Another Paterno son, Jay, told CNN's "Erin Burnett OutFront" that sworn testimony ate- the Schultz and Curley trials will provide information that will help give the whole picture.

Jay Paterno also said people should realize there is much more information available on Sandusky's acts today than there was in 2001.

Freeh's team discovered accusations of Sandusky's abuse well over a decade ago, which school officials were allegedly aware of.

Even before the 1998 investigation, "Several staff members and football coaches regularly observed Sandusky showering with young boys," and none of those interviewed ever notified their superiors, the report found.

A year later, in 1999, Paterno, Spanier, Schultz and Curley decided to allow Sandusky to retire, "not as a suspected child predator, but as a valued member of the Penn State football legacy," the report says. That allowed him to continue to work with children at the university, "essentially granting him license to bring boys to campus facilities for 'grooming' as targets for his assaults."

He retained unlimited access to university facilities until November 2011, the report says. The school also approved a one-time lump sum payment of $168,000 to Sandusky in 1999. Top university officials said they had never known Penn State "to provide this type of payment to a retiring employee."

The desire to avoid bad publicity was part of administrators' rationale in the cover-up, investigators said Thursday.

"No one, no one, is above scrutiny," said Frazier when the review began in November 2011.

In June, eight young men testified, often in disturbingly graphic detail, of how Sandusky forced them to engage in sexual acts in various places, including hotel rooms, the basement of his home and in the Penn State coaches' locker room.

In court documents, prosecutors say they have e-mails from university officials -- which CNN obtained exclusively -- that allegedly contradict grand jury testimony of Curley and Schultz. The Freeh review discovered the documents and turned them over to state prosecutors as part of ongoing investigations, according to both the university and prosecutors.

One of the e-mails suggests Paterno had a previously undisclosed conversation with Curley about the shower room incident from 2001.

Freeh's team of investigators said evidence shows Paterno was also made aware of a criminal investigation of Sandusky relating to suspected sexual misconduct with a boy years earlier.

But Paterno "failed to take any action," the report found.

"At the very least, Mr. Paterno could have alerted the entire football staff, in order to prevent Sandusky from bringing another child into the Lasch Building," where the incident took place.

Paterno and the others also failed to alert the board of trustees, Freeh said.

"None of them even spoke to Sandusky about his conduct. In short, nothing was done and Sandusky was allowed to continue with impunity."

Then, in February 2001, the four men decided they would report the incident to the Department of Public Welfare; but Paterno had a conversation with Curley, and the men then agreed not to do so, Freeh wrote.

"After giving it more thought and talking it over with Joe yesterday, I am uncomfortable with what we agreed were the next steps," Curley wrote the next day, according to Freeh's report.

Instead of alerting authorities, Curley apparently wrote that he would prefer meeting with Sandusky, telling him they knew about another incident in 1998 and offering him professional help. He then suggested notifying Sandusky's Second Mile charity organization "at some point" if Sandusky is cooperative, and "maybe" child welfare officials.

Paterno never reported the shower incident to police. "To his credit, Mr. Paterno stated on November 9, 2011, 'With the benefit of hindsight, I wish I had done more.' " Freeh added.

"We determined that his decision to do his minimum legal duty and not to do more to follow-up constituted a failure of leadership by Coach Paterno," the board of trustees said in a report that explained his firing.

That decision prompted rioting by Penn State students, who overturned a news van and clashed with police, who used tear gas to break up throngs of angry protesters.

Wick Sollers, a lawyer for the Paterno family, said the former head coach "followed university procedures and promptly and fully informed his superiors."

Spanier, the ousted president, has consistently maintained that he was never informed of any incident involving Sandusky that described sexual abuse or criminality.

According to the board of trustees, Spanier was fired in November because "he failed to meet his leadership responsibilities."

Folks, the truth is this. Like that Guard in the Bank, those involved in this, allowed it to happen. They are just as guilty as Sandusky. They need to be held just as accountable as Sandusky. It appears to be crystal clear that the School put money over the well being of the kids they were entrusted to protect. The whole thing makes me sick. The sad thing is, they are most likely not alone. 

Do you think that perhaps, just maybe, we can put education back in our schools and put morality back a the head of the class. Do you think we can hold accountable those in need, and reward those who do the right thing? How about rewarding teachers that teach, and punishing those that fail to. How about expecting our Graduates to be able to read the diploma they are given. How about true education trumping sports, or any other agenda driven tripe. 

Penn State, needs to be held as an example. So do all those involved. Simply put, we need to say, enough.

Some are very upset with this guy.

Hey folks,

Why? Why are many upset with this guy? Because He is telling the truth. Just watch..

In case you decided you do not have the 12 minutes to watch the video, here is the key point.

"You are not special. You are not exceptional. 

Yes, you've been pampered, cosseted, doted upon, helmeted, bubble-wrapped. Yes, capable adults with other things to do have held you, kissed you, fed you, wiped your mouth, wiped your bottom, trained you, taught you, tutored you, coached you, listened to you, counseled you, encouraged you, consoled you and encouraged you again. You've been nudged, cajoled, wheedled and implored. You've been feted and fawned over and called sweetie pie. ... But do not get the idea you're anything special. Because you're not."

{Laughing} Some parents, some students, and some out there that heard this for the first time in the news or on talk radio, are upset with Wellesley High School English Teacher, David McCullough Jr.. Why? Because he told the truth.

"If everyone is special, then no one is special." 

That's just the simple truth folks. If everyone gets a trophy, then winning means nothing. If everyone gets an A, then an A means nothing. If you tell everyone they are equal and in deserving of praise, then no one is. That's just the truth.

I have met lots of people. From all around the world. I have met Millionaires, to bums on the street. I have met and become friends with, lots of famous people. From Actors to Pro Wrestlers. Musicians to those that are famous for being famous. I've told this story before, but there are a lot of new people checking out this new blog so I'll tell it again.

I do not get star struck. I just don't. Out of all the people I have met, and actually spent time with, I have two autographs. One I got for my Niece. Glen Jacobs, AKA Kane from the WWE, and Emmit Kelly Jr. {The sad clown} That's it. I have met famous folks I thought would be a certain way, they turned out to be not even close. One I will not mention by name, out of respect for his work, but after meeting him, I lost all awe and respect I had for him. He was not this cute funny guy. He was an outright, first class, uh, jerk. Not to me, but to a female fan that just wanted to to say hi, and most likely get an autograph. He put up his hand in her face and actually said "I don't have time for you." and walked away from her.

Yes I have met comedians that were not funny. Some who were exactly the way you see them. I have met Pro Wrestlers that were 400 pounds of nasty, that spoke like this "Yes Sir. Thank you Sir. I really Appreciate it Sir." I even told one, "knock it off, your freaking me out." In which case he said this.."Would it make you feel better if I grunt?" {Laughing} I said "Yes. Yes it would."

But the only time I even came close to being star struck, was the time I not only met, but spent time with Donald Sutherland. In total, I spend about 40 minutes with him. We talked about the news of the day. He asked me about me. A security guy asked him if he was a "comedian or something" because he looked familiar to him. He just smiled and said, "I'm an actor." We then talked about his favorite movies he did, etc. But he said something that put it all into perceptive. {Waving his hand} "Eh, I make movies, you would in a Hotel. A job is a job."

He is right. So is Wellesley High School English Teacher, David McCullough Jr.. We are all born into the world, naked and helpless. We will all die one day and go wherever our choices take us. Or if you do not believe, we will all turn to dust. We all eat, drink, go to the bathroom. We all have hopes and dreams. Go to New York City, or any big City, or just go to the mall. Stand still and observe. Notice everything. People all walking about. Going here and there. All races, religions, rich, poor, whatever. Each one of those people are a world in of themselves. Each one has a story from birth to that point. They all have goals and dreams they are striving for. Some will go home to families, others looking for love. Some are good people. Some not so much.

Just because you are born, you are unique. But that does not make you special. We give out medals at the Olympics for those that do the same thing everyone else does, better than anyone else. THAT makes them special in that event. A good actor, like Donald Sutherland, is special, because he can entertain better than most. So in that field of endeavor, he is special. But as a person? He is you. She is you. You can become special, in whatever endeavor you chose, if you are good enough. However, just being alive does not make you special.

Congratulations  David McCullough Jr. You ARE without a doubt the winner of the Display of Logic Award winner for today, Sunday, June 10th, 2012. Thank you so much for that great speech and telling the graduating class of 2012, the truth. Keep teaching our young, reality, and truth. You are doing a great service to our future.

Once again, MANY Idiots to chose from.

You know that the left is getting desperate. They publicly say that they think Obama will win in a landslide, yet, everything they are doing tells the real story. But I wanted to award the IWA to one Liberal that gives us a crystal clear, real life example, of the way liberals see things.

This really is too funny. This is also a crystal clear, real life example of the indoctrination that is going on in our public school system. I'm sure you have heard about our idiot by now. She is a teacher. She is suspended with pay for now. She should be removed from the classroom. She is not stable.

So I guess she has a segment, or a time of the day, when she discusses "The Fact of the Day" or whatever, and she brought up the allegations of Romney bullying some other kid, back in 1965. Well, a student asked why she wants to discuss that and not that Obama admits, in his own words, that he bullied a little girl in school? Folks, you have got to hear this for yourself.

Last Monday, a high school student in North Carolina engaged his social studies teacher in a heated debate about politics and the two leading presidential candidates. During the exchange, the teacher (an obvious Obama supporter) got very angry with the student and accused him of disrespecting the president. She even went so far as to tell the boy that he could be jailed for speaking ill of Obama.

Sarah Campbell of the Salisbury Post first reported on the story. She claims that the school district is not releasing the name of the teacher and that she is not responding to requests for public comment (although the two students identified her to the newspaper). According to Campbell’s story, the teacher will not be suspended or even face disciplinary action for what was heard on the recording. A statement from the school was released at the end of the week:

“The Rowan-Salisbury School System expects all students and employees to be respectful in the school environment and for all teachers to maintain their professionalism in the classroom.

This incident should serve as an education for all teachers to stop and reflect on their interaction with students. Due to personnel and student confidentiality, we cannot discuss the matter publicly.”So, how bad was the exchange? It got fairly heated, with the teacher shouting at times. The kerfuffle started after one student asked a question about the teacher’s “fact of the day” that said Romney was a bully back in high school.

A student asked:

“Didn’t Obama bully somebody, though?”

The teacher started to get angry and said:
“Not to my knowledge.”

A couple of students relayed the story about Obama admitting that he bullied someone when he was younger. And that seemed to light the fuse on his teacher’s anger. A couple of the students exchanged words with the angry teacher.
“Stop! Stop! Because there’s no comparison. He’s running for president. Obama is the president.”

As one student attempted to argue for a fair, two-sided debate on the history of the candidates, he was shouted down and talked over by the teacher. She continued:
“You got to realize, this man is wanting to be what Obama is. There’s no comparison.”

Once again, the students pressed for equal discussion of the histories of both men, with one saying:
“If you’re gonna talk trash about one side, you gotta talk trash about the other.” 

The teacher just seemed to dig her heels in deeper and press her defense of Obama telling the defiant teen:
“You will not disrespect the president of the United States in this classroom.”

Again the student persisted and invoked his First Amendment right.
“I’ll say what I want.”

The still unidentified teacher read the student her rules…her Obama rules.
“Not about him, you won’t!”

 Not about him you won't. {Laughing} We will say anything we want about anyone we want. But YOU. You better not dare even think about talking bad about Obama. You racist, hate filled hick. He is Obama. He is the one. I do not care that you are telling the truth. You will say NOTHING negative about Obama. Ya Hear me? {Laughing}

The back and forth continued and the most strident of the two students reminded his teacher that President Bush was constantly treated to negative statements about him while he was in office:

“Whenever Bush was president, everybody talked sh-t about him.”

To which the teacher responded:
“Because he was sh-tty.”

Wait. I thought the whole point was you can't talk bad about the President? OH. You CAN talk bad about the President, as long as he is not named Obama. You see folks, this is who these idiots are. This particular idiot most likely does see Obama as "the one" or a God like being. She will attack anyone that she thinks is attacking her messiah.

The social studies educator went on for a full minute with more ranting, saying that people were arrested for saying derogatory things about President Bush. The student correctly reminded the teacher that opinions are protected, but you cannot be arrested unless you threaten the president.

Our research has not turned up a single case of anyone in America being arrested for speaking ill of former President Bush. The local newspaper story also mentioned that their discussions about the story with a political science professor could not recall the arrests that the teacher was speaking about.

Update:

We learned the name and the fate of the Social Studies teacher heard on the video posted below. Toyna Dixon-Neely is the woman heard yelling at students who dared to express negative opinions about President Obama. We also found out that Ms. Dixon-Neely’s outrageous statements may not have led to a strict punishment: the local newspaper is reporting that she has been suspended with pay. (Curiously the Huffington Post says that the teacher is on an unpaid suspension, pending the outcome of the investigation by the school board.)

Congratulations to ya Ms. Dixon-Neely. Thank you for showing us a real life example of who and what you liberals really are. However, going off on a student, you ARE the idiot of the week. Good luck with your suspension. I personally think you need to rethink your career choice.
