I love when someone that knows nothing about the Bible tries to teach it.

Hey folks,

Does the Bible promote slavery? No. Does the Bible still tell us to kill people for adultery? No. Does the Bible forbid you from eating this or that? No. I love when someone that knows nothing about the Bible tries to teach it. Lets look at some of this.

The Bible, in the old testament does warn you about what to eat and what not to eat. It does tell you that if you eat certain things, you can get sick. It tells you that you should abstain from certain foods. What is good to eat, and what is an abomination to the body. It is bad for the body. it should be avoided. So I guess every  healthy eating book out there is wrong and should be ignored. Right?

In the old testament, the Bible does talk about the laws of man. The laws of God are these...

¹And God spake all these words, saying,
²I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
³Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
⁴Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
⁵Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
⁶And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
⁷Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
⁸Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
⁹Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
¹⁰But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
¹¹For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
¹²Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
¹³Thou shalt not kill.
¹⁴Thou shalt not commit adultery.
¹⁵Thou shalt not steal.
¹⁶Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
¹⁷Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's. 

So the very first one is what? I am the Lord you God that brought you out of bondage. He freed the slaves. So does the Bible teach slavery is good? No of course not. What do you think Exodus was all about? Any where you see slavery talked about in the Bible, it is talking about the time. Paul was talking about receiving people as Brothers and not slaves.Not to mention Jesus set us all free. So I guess any history book that talks about slavery in America is promoting slavery?

So for people who actually understand the Bible, we know that it is NOT a big book of don'ts. That it is a blueprint for how to live a peaceful, healthy and happy life. It is a key to Salvation, and will in essence, make your life easier if you follow what it says. Every answer you need, is, in the Bible. Misinterpretations and false interpretations can be misleading, and in some cases, are meant to be. But that doesn't mean that they are right.

So then you have our Idiot of the week. Here is a guy that is suppose to be talking about anti-bullying. He is talking to a bunch of young people about bullying. Then he starts bullying those he is talking to....

So Dan Savage thinks it's OK to call people that are offended by his attack on the Bible pansies. He feels it's OK to call someone's belief "Bullshit?" Just because he does not agree with it? What if one of those kids that got up and walked out on him were to say "You say you were born that way? Well I say 'Bullshit.'" Yup. They would be called Homophobic. Hateful. Any discriminatory name they could think of. But it's OK for this Moron to call the Bible Bullshit, and those that got offended pansies. The sad thing? He actually thinks he knows what he is talking about. He actually believes he is smarter than anyone else.

Congratulations Dan the man. You are without a doubt, the Idiot of the Week. I do not condemn you for your lifestyle. There are many things I have none in my life that would keep me from Heaven. What you do is between you and God. But if you are going to attack me? For my beliefs? Call me names? Well, I do have a right to defend myself. Right?
