HALLANDALE BEACH (CBSMiami) – Lifeguard Tomas Lopez’s journey this week has been all over the map. He went from being hailed for helping save a life, to being fired for leaving his beach, to being offered his job back.
But Monday, Lopez will once again be hailed, this time by Hallandale Beach. Mayor Joy Cooper told CBS4’s Carey Codd Friday that Lopez will receive a key to the city in a Monday morning news conference.

All that in just a few minutes. Last week, in the IWA for Sunday, 070112 I talked about the new Grapefruit Tax. The fact that because of Chief Justice Roberts decision, the Government can now mandate that you buy ten pounds of Grapefruit every week. How about another analogy that blows that right out of the water..
OK. So what really effects Healthcare costs? Trauma. Let's say you are walking down a street, and some thug decides, "I'm going to mug ya." You do not have anyway to defend yourself, so you get shot. Now you end up in the ER. Doctors have to take extreme measures to save your life. You may be in for a long healing process and all those follow up costs.
Well. There is a Second Amendment in our United States Constitution that declares every American has a Right to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. So now as President, not only do I feel we need to follow the Constitutional Mandated Freedom to Bear Arms, I feel it is a Mandate to actually DO exactly that.
Look in areas in this country that have a more liberal "Free" view of Gun possession. Crime rates are WAY down compared to area's where gun ownership and possession are over regulated. That is just a fact. If someone seeking to do you harm think that you may also have a gun, and know how to use it, they are less likely to attack you.
So based on three things. One, National safety and well being of Citizens everywhere. Two, it's completely Constitutional. Three, it can and will reduce violent crime leading to higher healthcare costs. Based on these three reasons, I now issue a mandate that EVERY US Citizen in this country from the age of 18 to 80 years of age, take a new Government funded and mandated training course, and go buy a gun.
For those of you who feel you do not want to participate in this new Guns for all program, The IRS will now have the authority to check. If you do not show proof that you have taken the course, with an updated training section on a yearly bases, and you have not purchased a gun. You will pay a new Gun Tax at the end of the year. We will give everyone time to get on board. So Year 1 and 2 you will pay $1000.00 After year 3, it goes to $2000.00 After year 5, if you have not shown participation yet, you will be mandated to pay $5000.00 a year, plus another $1000.00 per every member of your family in the household who does not have a gun. Including children.

This is for the well being and good of all in this country. Do your part. Go buy a gun. It Constitutional, and it is NOW the Law of the Land. There are many Governors all across the country who see this for what it is. And it is not good. One of the silver linings of the Ruling, is that States do not have to participate in the Medicaid expansion. Many, like our Governor here in Florida Gov Scott, have already said "No thank you." Many are even turning up the heat in their responses. One taking some heat is the Governor of Maine, Gov. Paul LePage, who said this...
"We the people have been told there is no choice. You must buy health insurance or pay the new Gestapo -- the IRS."Then he went on to tell the truth about the actual consequences already being felt, and what is to come in the future..
"However, Maine is already a welfare expansion state because of the generous benefits offered," he said, adding that Maine's welfare costs are among the highest in the nation because the state had expanded Medicaid prior to the Republican electoral sweep of 2010.He said the Law WILL
"With these looming uncertainties circling around this issue, Maine cannot move forward right now with Obamacare. " LePage said.
"Raises taxes, cuts Medicare for the elderly, gets between patients and their doctors, costs trillions of taxpayer dollars, and kills jobs."And it will. Then he made this statement. The is an absolutely TRUE statement.
"Even more disheartening is that reviving the American dream just became nearly impossible to do. We are now a nation which supports dependency rather than independence. Instead of encouraging self-reliance, we are encouraging people to rely on the government."Folks, THIS is why November is so important. America itself is on the line here. We created Welfare. Now we have Welfare states. We created and expanded Unemployment. Now we have record high people sitting home not even looking for jobs. We created Food Stamps. Now record high number of people are getting all the free food they can. We created Social Security. People stopped saving for their retirement. Whenever the Government expands, creates programs for people to rely on, people rely on them and learn there is no other option. Or they just simply become compliant to remain "Taken Care Of."
This has all come about in incremental steps. Obamacare or Obamatax, is just the latest. However the largest Power Grab in US History. It can not be allowed to stand. This ruling by a Supreme Court Judge, must be done away with before it takes hold. If not? America will continue down it's death road, taking freedom with it.
