Screw Congress? Congress Should Say No, Screw You

If Obama and crew refuse to follow the Law, and they do, doesn't mean Congress should.

Hey folks,

So? Is this really a shock to anyone? Deputy Attorney General James Cole said "screw you" to Congress. The Vote to hold Attorney General, and Obama henchman, in Contempt, appears to be nothing more than show. More Politics as usual. But it doesn't have to be.

If Obama and crew refuse to follow the Law, and they do, doesn't mean Congress should. They actually have the authority to arrest Holder. Arrest him they should. They won't. They are cowards. But they CAN and they should.

Obama and crew refuse to follow the Law. They ignore the Constitution. They feel they are above all of it. They feel that they are royalty and or a Dictatorship. We will do what we want. A Federal Court says to resume Drilling off the coast. Screw you. We refuse. We will do what we want. The Supreme Court says Arizona can arrest Illegals? Screw you. We refuse. We will do what we want to do. We will not cooperate. Don't call us, we'll call you. Obama and crew run guns to drug dealers and Cartels, in the hopes people die, to further their anti-gun agenda? Make no mistake about it, THAT is what Fast and Furious is all about. Congress says we want to know who knew what when? Screw you. We refuse. We will do what we want to do.

So Congress had no choice but to find Holder in contempt. However, Obama and crew say? Say it with me. Screw you. We refuse. We will do what we want to do. We will not arrest Holder. We will not cooperate with the investigation. And there is nothing you can do about it. Well. Congress, TODAY, should say "No, screw you. We will arrest Holder ourselves." And YES they can.
Despite voting to hold Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. in contempt of Congress, there’s little House Republicans can do in the short term to compel him to turn over documents — unless it wanted to revisit a long-dormant power and arrest him.
The thought is shocking, and conjures up a Hollywood-ready standoff scene between House police and the FBI agents who protect the attorney general. It’s a dramatic and unlikely possibility not least because Congress doesn’t even have a jail any longer. But in theory it could happen.
Republicans say it’s not even under consideration, with House Speaker John A. Boehner’s spokesman flatly ruling it out.
But the process, known as inherent contempt, is well-established by precedent, has been confirmed by multiple Supreme Court rulings, and is available to any Congress willing to force such a confrontation.
“The House is scared to death to use the inherent contempt power,” said Mort Rosenberg, a fellow at the Constitution Project and author of “When Congress Comes Calling.” “They’re scared to death because the courts have said … the way the contempt power is used is unseemly. It’s not that it’s unconstitutional, because it’s been upheld by four Supreme Court decisions, but unseemly to have somebody go arrest the attorney general.”
That’s why it’s been more than 75 years since either chamber has used the option though it used to be somewhat common.
Yup. Like I said, they won't. They won't for the sole reason they ARE scared to death. They are scared of their own shadow. If I was the Speaker of the House? I would issue the order myself. TODAY. I would also find Deputy Attorney General James Cole in contempt for refusing to do his job.
The House on Thursday voted 255-67 to hold Mr. Holder in criminal contempt, and 258-95 to pursue a case against him in the courts.
But those votes do little to break the impasse over his refusal to turn over documents the House is seeking in an investigation into Fast and Furious, a botched gun-walking operation. The House issued subpoenas for the documents last year but President Obama last week asserted executive privilege in withholding them.
A court case will take time, meaning there’s little immediate effect of the two contempt votes.
Indeed, the lack of any penalty for Mr. Holder’s failure to cooperate was cited by one Democrat as his reason for voting against Thursday’s contempt motion.
“While I strongly believe that the Department of Justice should fully cooperate with Congress to ensure transparency in the Fast and Furious operation, this motion lacks an enforcement mechanism to make it anything more than politically motivated,” said Rep. Heath Shuler, North Carolina Democrat.
No it doesn't. Congress CAN arrest him and make life very difficult for Obama. Remember, the House holds the purse strings for everything. Obama and crew are just like any other criminal element. They do not care about rules, regulations, laws, or anything else. All they are going to respond to is force or extreme measures. I don't think Congress would even have to actually arrest him. They just have to play Obama's game.

Here is how it would go if I were the Speaker. "Mr. President. We are conducting an official and legal investigation into what has become known as the Fast and Furious. After several attempts and requests, Eric Holder has refused to cooperate and has been found in contempt. Your Executive Privilege is out of order and unconstitutional in this case. We refuse to accept it.

We, the Congress, here by request that the DOJ does it's job and arrest Eric Holder on the Contempt Charge, or other hearings to find the Deputy Attorney General James Cole in contempt for refusing to do his job, will take place. Then we will go down the list until someone decides to follow the rule of law.

We are also hereby informing you that you are completely cut off of funds. We will no longer authorize funds going to this or that, until you and the DOJ decide to follow the rule of law and cooperate with this investigation.

I assure you Mr. President, we will follow the rule of law, to the fullest extent. We respectfully request you do the same."

That's it. Done. Then I would follow through. But like I said, the leadership we have at this time in Congress are nothing more than cowards. This is why we need new leadership, and or, enough sheer numbers to "lead" the leadership in the right direction.

Remember folks, they KNOW they can do this. Remember Speaker Pelosi?
“I could have arrested Karl Rove on any given day,” Mrs. Pelosi, California Democrat, said as part of a sit-down interview with the Huffington Post.
“I’m not kidding. There’s a prison here in the Capitol. If we had spotted him in the Capitol, we could have arrested him,” she said.
Remember all the libs and even some in the Mainstream Media were calling for her to do just that. It's high time we did.

Look folks, it is abundantly clear, that just like with Obamacare, the only option there is for true justice to be served, is YOU. November 6, 2012 is the date. Your polling place in your district is the place. The booth is your voice. If the President, Congress, and now even the Supreme Court, will not do their Jobs, you CAN. You WILL. And for those that come in, you had better realize that the PEOPLE are in charge. Not you. Follow the law, do the right thing, and we will be behind you 100 percent. Don't? And we, The People, THE Boss, can and will, fire you too. And it IS, just that simple.
Peter
