NYC Food Police At It Again

I'll eat what I want. Thank you.

Hey folks,

There are many reasons NOT to live in New York. Especially, New York City. Most have to do with financial reasons. Oppressive taxation has driven out both the average Joe, and the millionaire. You can hardly breath without being taxed. When you are not being taxed, you will have to pay money just to get around New York. Couple that with the way over priced housing market. Hundreds of thousands dollars rent. Million dollar rents. Over priced, well, everything from a pack of smokes to food, to everything else. NYC is not for the less wealthy.

Another reason more and more people are leaving, is one specific reason. One department that is one of the most intrusive in government history. The Food Police. These are those that feel you are too stupid to make good decisions on what you should and should not eat. They feel they need to step in and BAN what they do not like. For your own good of course.

We all know about the stuff they have already ban. Salt, frying oil, hell, NYC Mayor Bloomberg even ban food going to homeless shelters. Well, he picked up the phone again folks. This time, he issued an order to the Food Police, no more Slurpees.

I'm not kidding folks.
The proposed ban would affect virtually the entire menu of popular sugary drinks found in delis, fast-food franchises and even sports arenas, from energy drinks to pre-sweetened iced teas. The sale of any cup or bottle of sweetened drink larger than 16 fluid ounces — about the size of a medium coffee, and smaller than a common soda bottle — would be prohibited under the first-in-the-nation plan, which could take effect as soon as next March.
Bloomberg, who is in his unconstitutional, and voter rejected third term, actually said this...
“Obesity is a nationwide problem, and all over the United States, public health officials are wringing their hands saying, ‘Oh, this is terrible,.’ New York City is not about wringing your hands; it’s about doing something. I think that’s what the public wants the mayor to do.”

You think WRONG Bloomy. The public does NOT want the government dictating to them how to live their lives. They do NOT want the government telling them what they can and can't eat, drink, or anything else. You are WRONG sir.

When asked if he thought that this would limit the freedom to buy whatever the person wants to buy, he said this...
“Your argument, I guess, could be that it’s a little less convenient to have to carry two 16-ounce drinks to your seat in the movie theater rather than one 32 ounce,” Mr. Bloomberg said in a sarcastic tone. “I don’t think you can make the case that we’re taking things away.”
You arrogant, liberal, nut job. No wonder they call you Nanny Bloomberg. I hope this IS what people do. If I had a business that sold soda, I would sell two 16 oz for the price of a thirty two. I would simply do a buy one get one free thing. I hope others do the same. It's about time people in NYC stood up and said enough.

What about the lost business? Oh he thinks it'll be fine. If businesses see a lost in revenue, his answer? Just charge more for smaller drinks. I kid you not.

Now Bloomy here, has been attacking soda for a while. He tried a state tax on soda, to limit the sale. Much like the cigarette tax. The sane folks in Albany squashed that. Then he tried to say, NO SODA if you are on food stamps. But that failed as well. The feds said, uh, you can't do that. So all this is, is an attempt to limit soda, without having to have sane people get involved.

I have a feeling, sad as it is, that even though this loon is attempting to tell a business like 7-11, that they can not sell one of their signature products, Slurpees, the people in NYC will just lay down and accept it. They have been so conditioned that they will just say OK.

You want the Food Police knocking on your door, checking your cup size? Go for it. As for me? I'll eat what I want. Thank you. I will drink whatever I want. In whatever size cup I want. The Food Police can kiss my, uh, backsides. And people wonder WHY people are leaving liberal looney controlled states in droves? It's not that hard to understand. It's called freedom.

Climate Change Killed Off The Harappan Civilization

According to the experts.

Hey folks,

I love this. One I enjoy reading about lost civilizations. Two I love science. Three, I love history. So this was right up my ally. However, I'll tell you what got my attention. It was not the actual article headline, which actually is,  Huge Ancient Civilization’s Collapse Explained. No, it was this headline, posted elsewhere that referred to this article. Climate Change killed off ancient civilization.

However, when I started reading it, I was hooked. I love this story. In it, there is one sentence that should clear up the whole man-made global warming BS. One sentence in the whole thing, tells you the absolute TRUTH about climate change. More on that in a second.

So turns out, they discovered a large ancient civilization called the  Harappan . They were quite impressive.
Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia may be the best known of the first great urban cultures, but the largest was the Indus or Harappan civilization. This culture once extended over more than 386,000 square miles (1 million square kilometers) across the plains of the Indus River from the Arabian Sea to the Ganges, and at its peak may have accounted for 10 percent of the world population. The civilization developed about 5,200 years ago, and slowly disintegrated between 3,900 and 3,000 years ago — populations largely abandoned cities, migrating toward the east.

"Antiquity knew about Egypt and Mesopotamia, but the Indus civilization, which was bigger than these two, was completely forgotten until the 1920s," said researcher Liviu Giosan, a geologist at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in Massachusetts. "There are still many things we don't know about them."
"They had cities ordered into grids, with exquisite plumbing, which was not encountered again until the Romans," Giosan told LiveScience. "They seem to have been a more democratic society than Mesopotamia and Egypt — no large structures were built for important personalitiess like kings or pharaohs."
Like their contemporaries in Egypt and Mesopotamia, the Harappans, who were named after one of their largest cities, lived next to rivers.
"Until now, speculations abounded about the links between this mysterious ancient culture and its life-giving mighty rivers," Giosan said.
So picture this massive city. People living their lives. Art, trade, even pluming, and other modern amenities. They were like ancient New York or something. Just living their lives. Doing their thing. Then poof. Gone.

Of course people that discover these civilizations want to know why. There appear to be many concepts. That they lived on the river for obvious reasons. The source of the river was, and still is, debatable. Was the source a glacier that was slowly melting? Was it heavy rains that feed it? What caused the rivers to flow.

Well this group says it was heavy rains. They say Monsoons were the source. Reoccurring, pretty constant, monsoons. Then, their theory goes, the monsoons stopped coming as often, drying up the river. This of course forced the people that relied on the river to move.

So this is their theory. Climate change killed them off. Or at least made them move. Of course, the chicken little, greeny, GWBS crowd are jumping all over this. See? See what happens if we do not stop global warming? Well, lets look at this.

First, the theory of a reoccurring, regular, monsoon, is well, problematic. Nature is not regular. We have cycles. Warm, cold, wet, dry, etc. We have bad storm seasons, and no storms. Heavy snow, no snow. Rain, no rain. The truth is, we do NOT control the weather.

But lets just go with they were in a wet season. That apparently  lasted for a couple of what, thousand years? Then they went into a dry season, that reduced the river flow. OK. So these folks had to move. Sounds like a stretch, the wet season lasting thousands of years, but lets say.

So now we get to the one paragraph, the one sentence, that tells you the absolute truth. This one sentence tells you all you need to know about climate change. Here it is..
"The insolation — the solar energy received by the Earth from the sun — varies in cycles, which can impact monsoons," Giosan said. "In the last 10,000 years, the Northern Hemisphere had the highest insolation from 7,000 to 5,000 years ago, and since then insolation there decreased. All climate on Earth is driven by the sun, and so the monsoons were affected by the lower insolation, decreasing in force. This meant less rain got into continental regions affected by monsoons over time."
Did you catch the one sentence? Here it is.. "All climate on Earth is driven by the sun," WOW. Really? That big yellow ball in the sky effects our climate? Not according to the GWBS, chicken little crowd. According to them, WE do. So how much CO2 do you think the Harappans pumped into the atmosphere? Maybe they had too many farting cows? Horses? Maybe it was their diet. Was it their factories?

This is a really interesting article. It really is. Check it out. But that one sentence is a crystal clear example of the truth coming out through REAL science and not scarence. Or Scare Science. That is a FACT. So even if we take everything that these researchers say as absolute fact. It was not man-made climate change that forced the Harappans to move. It was simple nature. Natural Cycles. Normal. Nothing we can do about it.

We have talked about Global Warming, and Climate Change, for years. It's a total scam. It is a money grabbing, power grabbing, control giving, scam. We are not going to turn into a big fire ball. We are not going to have another Ice Age any time soon. Nothing is going to happen if you use cheap light bulbs. If the climate does change in a few thousand years, we will have to adapt to it. But we are not the cause of it. It's that little yellow ball in the sky.

More Credit Games Coming to Green Dreams

"You see. Renewables are a good idea, if they are allowed to continue."

Hey folks,

Happy Tuesday to ya. If you are like most, this is a short week. Today is back to reality. Well, except for my Son Joshua who is now out of school for the summer. I remember those days well. {Smile}

So I get this. "You see. Renewables are a good idea, if they are allowed to continue." Along with the following article. I'm not sure I get it. I'm being serious here. I'm not sure I get the point. It's by Manassas Patch - Renewable Energy in Virginia: 5 Things You Need to Know

Renewable energy is a vast, complicated topic. Here's what you need to know. By Lauren Sausser Email the author May 27, 2012
Understanding renewable energy can be complicated, but the reality is, electricity in Virginia is relatively cheap compared to other states.
The average household in Virginia pays $110 per month for electricity, Dominion Power spokesman Jim Norvelle said.
In Maryland, a Baltimore Gas and Electric customer who uses 1,000 kWh per month will pay between $125 and $132 month, according to that company.
Other states are even higher. A spokesman for Connecticut Light and Power said the majority of customers in that state pay $163 per month for 1,000 kWh of electricity.
So why bother with renewable sources when energy needs are already met at a good deal?
I just got my electric bill. $160.00 Uh SO? I guess according to the author of the piece, Lauren Sausser, that is too cheap? I'm not sure I agree with that. My last bill was $116.00 Now that is pretty cheap. So?
Here are five things you need to know about renewable energy:
1. The Virginia General Assembly has actually defined it for us: "'Renewable energy' means energy derived from sunlight, wind, falling water, biomass, sustainable or otherwise, (the definitions of which shall be liberally construed), energy from waste, municipal solid waste, wave motion, tides, and geothermal power, and does not include energy derived from coal, oil, natural gas or nuclear power. Renewable energy shall also include the proportion of the thermal or electric energy from a facility that results from the co-firing of biomass."
OK. So ANYTHING that is not Coal, Oil, or Gas. Got it.
2. The most expensive form of energy that can be converted into electricity is offshore wind. The United States have no offshore wind farms. Massachusetts is developing a project called Cape Wind.
In Virginia, Norvelle said Dominion has been awarded for a $5 million grant from the Department of Energy to look at innovative ways to reduce the cost of offshore wind development by 25 percent. The company has also expressed an interest to lease an area off the coast of Virginia that could be developed into a wind farm.
Wait. So this company has received $5 million of your money, to look at ways to reduce the cost? Is not given them free money a way to reduce their costs? There is still nothing being built. They are producing nothing. Yet, your money is being given to them. Not tax breaks, where they pay less, but rather they are actually receiving free money.
3. The General Assembly has recommended that 15 percent of electricity in Virginia come from renewable energy sources by 2025. This is only a recommended benchmark. If providers meet that goal, they can receive bonuses, but they will not be penalized if they miss the goal. Many state legislatures, including Maryland and New Jersey, have created mandatory "renewable portfolio standards," that require electricity providers to generate a certain percentage of power through renewable sources.
Which is nothing more than Politics. If there is nothing there, there is nothing there. There will be nothing to switch too. So? What then? Oh, more money. And here we go again. It's Al Gore's Carbon Credits all over again.
4. Any other electricity provider can sell the renewable energy in the form of "renewable energy certificates." This means that even though renewable energy is generated in Virginia, it's not necessarily being used by Virginians. Jim Norvelle explains how it works. " In Virginia, we are allowed to use low cost renewable energy credits to meet the state’s voluntary renewable portfolio standard.
One way that we keep the rates reasonsalbe, we purchase low cost RECs from out of the state for our use and meanwhile we can sell higher cost higher cost RECs that we generate at our facilities to other markets out of state and the cost benefit – the savings we get on the transactions – benefits our customers in Virginia by keeping rates reasonable."
So instead of actually producing a product, they are talking about playing games. We are not meeting the goal, but if we spend enough money, we can CLAIM we are meeting the goal, even know we are not. It's just like Al Gores Carbon Credit scheme. Polluting? OK. Just pay me like $10,000 a credit, and you can say you are carbon neutral. You do not have to change a thing. Just give us money. In this case, they do not have to produce a thing. Just pay money to say they are.
5. No state tax incentives exist in Virginia for homeowners to install solar panels. Last month, Gov. Bob McDonnell vetoed the "solar freedom bill," legislation that passed the General Assembly that would have made it illlegal for neighborhood associations to ban the installation of solar panels.
So you see. {Laughing} This would all work out if those evil, I bet he is a republican,,,wait,,lets see,,yup. He's a republican. {Laughing}  So this evil republican, blocked a law that would have allowed a small group of people to receive more tax money. It also would dictate to HOAs what they can and can't force those that live in their communities to do. Sorry. I HATE HOAs. That's why I do not live in an area that has one. So I'm not fan. But it really was all about money.

I'm really not sure I get the point here AG. Seriously. Well, I get it. But I do not get how knowing these  "five facts" help the "green dream." I'm not sure what the point is to the article.{Sigh} We have the answer to helping the Economy, creating hundreds of thousands of new jobs. Lowering the cost of energy, and everything, and even increasing our national security, right here in front of us. Doing it the right way, will also not cost the government a dime. Zero. Not one cent. No tax payer money needed. As a matter of fact, it will increase the revenue to all forms of Government. The only people standing in the way of this IS Barack Obama and the Liberals in Government. Sorry, but THOSE are facts we can use.

Happy Memorial Day

Memorial Day.

Hey Folks,

Just a brief history of today.

Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day, is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation's service. There are many stories as to its actual beginnings, with over two dozen cities and towns laying claim to being the birthplace of Memorial Day. There is also evidence that organized women's groups in the South were decorating graves before the end of the Civil War: a hymn published in 1867, "Kneel Where Our Loves are Sleeping" by Nella L. Sweet carried the dedication "To The Ladies of the South who are Decorating the Graves of the Confederate Dead" (Source: Duke University's

Historic American Sheet Music, 1850-1920). While Waterloo N.Y. was officially declared the birthplace of Memorial Day by President Lyndon Johnson in May 1966, it's difficult to prove conclusively the origins of the day. It is more likely that it had many separate beginnings; each of those towns and every planned or spontaneous gathering of people to honor the war dead in the 1860's tapped into the general human need to honor our dead, each contributed honorably to the growing movement that culminated in Gen Logan giving his official proclamation in 1868. It is not important who was the very first, what is important is that Memorial Day was established. Memorial Day is not about division. It is about reconciliation; it is about coming together to honor those who gave their all.

Memorial Day was officially proclaimed on 5 May 1868 by General John Logan, national commander of the Grand Army of the Republic, in his Gerenal Order No. 11 , and was first observed on 30 May 1868, when flowers were placed on the graves of Union and Confederate soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery. The first state to officially recognize the holiday was New York in 1873. By 1890 it was recognized by all of the northern states. The South refused to acknowledge the day, honoring their dead on separate days until after World War I (when the holiday changed from honoring just those who died fighting in the Civil War to honoring Americans who died fighting in any war). It is now celebrated in almost every State on the last Monday in May (passed by Congress with the National Holiday Act of 1971 (P.L. 90 - 363) to ensure a three day weekend for Federal holidays), though several southern states have an additional separate day for honoring the Confederate war dead: January 19 in Texas, April 26 in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Mississippi; May 10 in South Carolina; and June 3 (Jefferson Davis' birthday) in Louisiana and Tennessee.

In 1915, inspired by the poem "In Flanders Fields," Moina Michael replied with her own poem:

We cherish too, the Poppy redThat grows on fields where valor led,It seems to signal to the skiesThat blood of heroes never dies.

She then conceived of an idea to wear red poppies on Memorial day in honor of those who died serving the nation during war. She was the first to wear one, and sold poppies to her friends and co-workers with the money going to benefit servicemen in need. Later a Madam Guerin from France was visiting the United States and learned of this new custom started by Ms.Michael and when she returned to France, made artificial red poppies to raise money for war orphaned children and widowed women. This tradition spread to other countries. In 1921, the Franco-American Children's League sold poppies nationally to benefit war orphans of France and Belgium. The League disbanded a year later and Madam Guerin approached the VFW for help. Shortly before Memorial Day in 1922 the VFW became the first veterans' organization to nationally sell poppies. Two years later their "Buddy" Poppy program was selling artificial poppies made by disabled veterans. In 1948 the US Post Office honored Ms Michael for her role in founding the National Poppy movement by issuing a red 3 cent postage stamp with her likeness on it.

Traditional observance of Memorial day has diminished over the years. Many Americans nowadays have forgotten the meaning and traditions of Memorial Day. At many cemeteries, the graves of the fallen are increasingly ignored, neglected. Most people no longer remember the proper flag etiquette for the day. While there are towns and cities that still hold Memorial Day parades, many have not held a parade in decades. Some people think the day is for honoring any and all dead, and not just those fallen in service to our country.

There are a few notable exceptions. Since the late 50's on the Thursday before Memorial Day, the 1,200 soldiers of the 3d U.S. Infantry place small American flags at each of the more than 260,000 gravestones at Arlington National Cemetery. They then patrol 24 hours a day during the weekend to ensure that each flag remains standing. In 1951, the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts of St. Louis began placing flags on the 150,000 graves at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery as an annual Good Turn, a practice that continues to this day. More recently, beginning in 1998, on the Saturday before the observed day for Memorial Day, the Boys Scouts and Girl Scouts place a candle at each of approximately 15,300 grave sites of soldiers buried at Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park on Marye's Heights (the Luminaria Program). And in 2004, Washington D.C. held its first Memorial Day parade in over 60 years.

To help re-educate and remind Americans of the true meaning of Memorial Day, the "National Moment of Remembrance" resolution was passed on Dec 2000 which asks that at 3 p.m. local time, for all Americans "To voluntarily and informally observe in their own way a Moment of remembrance and respect, pausing from whatever they are doing for a moment of silence or listening to 'Taps."

The Moment of Remembrance is a step in the right direction to returning the meaning back to the day. What is needed is a full return to the original day of observance. Set aside one day out of the year for the nation to get together to remember, reflect and honor those who have given their all in service to their country.

But what may be needed to return the solemn, and even sacred, spirit back to Memorial Day is for a return to its traditional day of observance. Many feel that when Congress made the day into a three-day weekend in with the National Holiday Act of 1971, it made it all the easier for people to be distracted from the spirit and meaning of the day. As the VFW stated in its 2002 Memorial Day address: "Changing the date merely to create three-day weekends has undermined the very meaning of the day. No doubt, this has contributed greatly to the general public's nonchalant observance of Memorial Day."

On January 19, 1999 Senator Inouye introduced bill S 189 to the Senate which proposes to restore the traditional day of observance of Memorial Day back to May 30th instead of "the last Monday in May". On April 19, 1999 Representative Gibbons introduced the bill to the House (H.R. 1474). The bills were referred the Committee on the Judiciary and the Committee on Government Reform.

To all the Families of those that paid the ultimate price, and to all those that serve today, who may be asked to do the same, THANK YOU. You shall NEVER be forgotten.

Obama Did Not Make A Mistake, Preview

Preview for Sunday 052712

Hey folks,

Happy Sunday to ya. Hope all is well with you and yours. This IS the Big Sunday Edition of the OPNTalk2 Blog. I am of course, your Provocateur of Thought himself, Peter Carlock. Glad you stopped by today.

Obama did not make a mistake. Everyone is saying, "Look how stupid Obama is. Saying sons. When everyone knows he has daughters. We all know he has two daughters, and here he is saying my Sons. Twice. Idiot." Nope. He is not an Idiot. and he made no mistake. More on that in just a second.

This was one of those busy weeks folks. The Emails were flowing in, my stack of news I wanted to talk about was growing daily, and a couple of you, just said "Hi." If YOU want to be part of the OPNTalk2 Blog, you can send articles, comments, complaints, or of course, just say "Hi" to opntalk@gmail.com

Coming right up today?

Putin Bringing Back USSR

As you can see we have a lot to cover today. We'll get to all that in a second. I do not even have time to talk about Dreams. The fact these two guys invented a way for you to control them. I'll have to do that another time.

OK Obama. Now I know there are a lot of people calling him stupid. "He's an idiot. How else do you explain him making such a stupid mistake. Not only once. But twice. We all know he has two daughters. Yet, on two separate occasions, he said sons. What was he thinking?" Seriously folks. Here is an example.
In two campaign speeches over the last two days, President Barack Obama has twice mistakenly mentioned “my sons” when defending his administration’s regulation requiring virtually all health-care plans in the United States to provide women, without any fees or co-pay, with sterilizations and all Food and Drug Administration-approved contraceptives, including those that can cause abortions.
See the Videos HERE
He is not stupid folks. He is an idiot because of all his failed policies. But he is not stupid. There are two possibilities. One, he was talking figuratively. Meaning all children. Sons and daughters. Male and female. Not saying his own flesh and bone, but saying he wants his daughters to have the same rights they would have, if they were his sons. I know, I sound like NBC. Right?

OR? Here is what I truly believe he meant. All children are his. That he IS the Father of all children. He is the Father of the nation. He is god. He is the final authority. The law of the land. The messiah. The One. He wants all his children to have the same rights. To be equal.

Look, we already know who this guy is. We already know that he really does believe that he is King. He is trying to destroy the country as founded and "fundamentally change" it into something it was never meant to be. Unlike Washington, he WANTS the crown. He WANTS to be King.

Why else do you think Queen Michelle takes her own plane 4 hours before him on vacation? Why else do you think he rents out the entire Taj Mahal? Takes all these elaborate vacations all over the world? Because he feels entitled to it. He doesn't care about you folks. Especially if you are a rich white person. He doesn't care about the single parent working two jobs. Black man? He doesn't care about you. Did I just go there? Yup. To all my friends in the Gay community? He doesn't care about you. It is still sad to me that some of you actually believe he really believes that Gays should be allowed to get married. Barack Obama, cares about Barack Obama.

So when he makes statements like "my sons" he means it. His sons. His daughters. His people. He does not see "The People" as those he serves. He sees "The People" as subjects. Someone to rule over. Make no mistake about it. He and those that have drank the Obama Kool-aid, are panicking. There are those out there that have drank the Obamaide. Look at our idiot of the week. They see Obama's reign coming to an end in a couple of months. They are in a state of panic. Many of do not even know why. But they will do ANY and EVERYTHING they have to, to get him re-elected.

No. Obama did not make a mistake. He meant every word of it. Like I said, he is far from stupid. He has done all that he has done, on purpose. Intentionally. Look around you. Imagine four more years with nothing to loose.

Going to fill my cup. Go fill yours. Be right back..

Putin Bringing Back USSR

Short and sweet. But people better pay attention.

Hey folks,

As I keep telling you, we live in dangerous times. They are getting more and more dangerous as time goes on. This is why it is so important to have a true leader in this country. One that our allies trust, and one that our enemies fear. One that understands reality. One that is resolved to the goal of bringing America back to a leadership role in the world. One that our enemies will believe will do ANYTHING they need to do to fulfill their number one job. Keep America safe and protect our allies.

As you know I have been following Putin for years. I have been telling you what he is all about. He is all about Mother Russia. He misses the cold war. He misses the USSR. He wants Russia to be the great superpower it once was. Now that he is President again, he is taking steps to bring this about. Just read the following. Short and sweet. But people better pay attention.
(Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir Putin named seven former cabinet ministers as aides on Tuesday, in a move expected to weaken Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev's new government and shift power to the Kremlin.
Putin, in a decree issued a day after the government was formed, also confirmed loyal ally Sergei Ivanov as his chief of staff while Nikolai Patrushev stays on as secretary of the presidential Security Council.
One name missing from the list of appointments was that of Igor Sechin, Putin's energy 'tsar' in the previous government, who had been expected to maintain control over the oil industry after Putin returned to the Kremlin.
The appointments indicated Putin, who was inaugurated for a six-year presidential term on May 7 after four years as prime minister, may use his administration as a center of power separate from the government headed by Medvedev.
Among the former ministers Putin brought to the Kremlin as aides are ex-Economy Minister Elvira Nabiullina, former Health Minister Tatyana Golikova, former Natural Resources Minister Yuri Trutnev and former Transport Minister Igor Levitin.
Putin named former Interior Minister Rashid Nurgaliyev, whose term was marred by police violence, corruption and abuse scandals, as a deputy to Patrushev at the Security Council, an influential advisory body.
Romney is going to be a busy President. He has to deal with the World, AND fix all the stuff Obama messed up. It's going to a hard job. Made even harder by all the failures and missteps of Obama.

Iran Has Ability To Create Five Nukes

What part of ,"They will not stop until they achieve their stated goal," does this administration not get?

Hey folks:

There is a new report out there that Iran could build up to five nuclear bombs at will. Not in ten years. Not five years. Not five months. NOW. Time to stop playing games. Seriously folks. THIS is serious.
VIENNA (Reuters) - Iran has significantly stepped up its output of low-enriched uranium and total production in the last five years would be enough for at least five nuclear weapons if refined much further, a U.S. security institute said.
More than ever in the last three.
The Institute for Science and International Security (ISIS), a think-tank which closely tracks Iran's nuclear program, made the analysis on the basis of data in the latest quarterly U.N. watchdog report which was issued on Friday.
Progress in Iran's nuclear activities is closely watched by the West and Israel as it could determine how long it could take Tehran to build atomic bombs, if it decided to do so. Iran denies any plan to and says its aims are entirely peaceful.
And I have a bridge to sell you. It's a beautiful bridge. It connects two swaps,,,uh, I mean, two very nicely most pieces of land. I'll sell it to you cheap. The land along with it.
During talks in Baghdad this week, six world powers failed to convince Iran to scale back its uranium enrichment program. They will meet again in Moscow next month to try to defuse a decade-old standoff that has raised fears of a new war in the Middle East that could disrupt oil supplies.
Friday's report by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), a Vienna-based U.N. body, showed Iran pressing ahead with its uranium enrichment work in defiance of U.N. resolutions calling on it to suspend the activity.
It said Iran had produced almost 6.2 metric tons (6.83 tons) of uranium enriched to a level of 3.5 percent since it began the work in 2007 - some of which has subsequently been further processed into higher-grade material.
2007? The year that Little Hitler, {President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad} understood, that Bush was on his way out. We were tied up in Iraq and Afghanistan, And he just stalled enough after kicking out the inspectors. So he felt comfortable to quietly pick up pace. Now when Obama took office? He went into hyper drive. Why? Because he knows Obama is no real threat. He knows Obama is no friend of Israel. He knows Obama is too busy attempting to destroy America himself.
This is nearly 750 kg more than in the previous IAEA report issued in February, and ISIS said Iran's monthly production had risen by roughly a third.
"This total amount of 3.5 percent low enriched uranium hexafluoride, if further enriched to weapon grade, is enough to make over five nuclear weapons," ISIS said in its analysis.
Not one. FIVE! Little Hitler only needs two. One for Israel. One for us. Well, OK, maybe five. One for Israel and four for us.
It added, however, that some of Iran's higher-grade uranium had been converted into reactor fuel and would not be available for nuclear weapons, at least not quickly.
{Laughing} He has enough to make five nuclear weapons,,but, uh, don't worry about it. Some of it has been converted, so he really don't have as much, well, not really, well, not as fast. Uh, never mind. {Laughing} Get this..
The IAEA report said Iran had installed more than 50 percent more enrichment centrifuges at Fordow, which is buried deep under rock and soil to protect it against any enemy attacks.
Although not yet being fed with uranium, the new machines could be used to further boost Iran's output of uranium enriched to 20 percent.
You know where they got those new machines? Russia. There is no alternative here folks. Little Hitler, and Iran will not stop. They will create a nuclear bomb. They will use the nuclear bomb. They will attack Israel, they will attack us. It really is this simple. They must be stopped. If not, the original Holocaust will pale in comparison to that of which is to come. And THAT is their stated goal.

Child Abusing Priest Now Legally Molests Kids

YCMTSU Returns. That would be: You Can't Make This Stuff Up.

Hey folks,

So you molest kids. You get caught. You get removed from the Priesthood. What do you do now? Oh, you go get a job with the TSA. Now you can legally molest kids. Are you kidding me?

I use to travel a bit for my job. I have gone through many Airports, including Philly. I do not travel as much now. This is most likely a good thing. I have a serious problem with the authority that the TSA has been given to invade people's personally property, and even one's own person. It truly is legal molestation.

So you are in charge of the TSA, that can, at will, molest anyone they want. You get an application by an ex-priest, that was removed from his job because he molested two young girls, and you hire him? Not only do you hire him, you make him a supervisor?
(CBS) PHILADELPHIA - A Catholic priest who was removed from the ministry over sex abuse allegations now holds a sensitive security post at Philadelphia International Airport, CBS Philly reports.

Until 2002, Thomas Harkins was a Catholic priest working at churches across southern New Jersey, the station reports. But the Diocese of Camden removed him from ministry because it found he sexually abused two young girls. Now, in a new lawsuit, a third CBS woman is claiming she is also one of Harkins' victims.
CBS Philly reports that this week it observed Harkin working as a TSA checkpoint supervisor between airport terminals D and E, where thousands of people - including lots of kids - pass through every day.
Are you kidding me?
The new lawsuit, filed in federal court against the Camden Diocese, accuses Harkins of sexually abusing an 11-year-old girl 10 to 15 times in 1980 and 1981, the station reported. Filed on behalf of the alleged victim, the suit alleges the abuse occurred while Harkins was a priest at Saint Anthony of Padua parish in Hammonton, N.J., with one alleged assaults occurring in Harkins' bedroom at the rectory.
"They should know who they're hiring," said Karen Polesir, a spokeswoman with the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests (SNAP). She believes Harkins' TSA job is inappropriate.
"As the public, we are screened to our underwear getting on a plane, and yet they hire a man like that," she told the station.

A TSA official told CBS Philly Harkins' title is "Transportation Security Manager, Baggage," meaning he deals mostly with luggage, not passengers.
Mostly? What does that mean. Mostly? That means he also deals with passengers. Especially if he is the supervisor.
"Sure, that's his title," Polesir said. "That doesn't mean that's where he stays, that doesn't mean he doesn't fill other roles when necessary."
The TSA says all its employees go through a criminal background check before they're hired, but because the allegations are so old, criminal charges were not filed. A spokesman said the Camden Diocese settled the first two lawsuits with Harkins' accusers, and that it had not yet seen the latest lawsuit.
Harkins was asked about the newest filing as he was leaving his shift at the airport."I have nothing to say," was Harkins' reply.
Asked if the traveling public should be worried, Harkin responded, "No, they shouldn't be."
"The public should not be worried with you in a position like this despite your past?" reporter Ben Simmoneau asked.
"I have nothing to say," Harkins repeated.

He then used his TSA badge to walk into a restricted area where CBS Philly cameras could not follow.
What's next? Child molesters as day care workers? Like I said, you can't make this stuff up.

Frankenfood To Label or Not To Label, That Is The Question

Just like the Pink Slime debate. Do you want to know?

Hey folks,

In today's Health and Science Segment, I want to talk about something I really have a problem with. Frankenfood. I have been talking about Frankenfood, AKA, Genetically Modified Food, for years. We have covered a lot of ground. If you want all the info we went over, you'll have to clink the link and it will take you all the way back to 2006.

I do not like Frankenfood. I'm pretty sure you don't either. For those that claim it's safe and has no effect on those that eat it? I have to disagree. Just by observations, one can SEE a major difference. Doubt me? Go stand at any School Bus Stop. Tell me what you see.

I've talked about this before as well. I'm really not that old. I grew up in the 70's and 80's. When I went to school, little boys looked like little boys. Little girls looked like little girls. Oh we had one or two that were, shall we say, early bloomers? Those were the girls that got all the attention. "Hey Johnny, she got boobs." "Yeah I know Timmy. She is going to be my girlfriend, you know, after we ride bikes."

Kids were kids. Girls thought about girly things. Boys played boy things. Boys and girls played together. AS KIDS. School dances meant standing around hoping that if the pretty girl dances with you, that your nervous sweat did not rub off on her shirt. ETC.

Stand at a bus stop now. Tell me what you see. Girls as young as 10, getting off the bus looking like they are 16. 12 to 13 year old boys looking like they are  getting ready to be in a movie. Signs of facial hair, taller then average. They look like they are about 16 to 18.

Now our kids go through the change, LONG before they have the mental ability to deal with it. They get all the hormones and all the tools, so school dances are far more different. Remember all the stories of oral sex parties and competitions as early as 7the grade? Remember the bracelets?

So why the change? My honest opinion is the hormones and other stuff that they have been putting in our foods. They give Cows, Chickens, Fish, and other animals, growth hormones, to grow, produce, fatten, all kinds of stuff. Then when the process the product, they fill that with even more garbage. Then we eat it.

I'm not kidding here folks. I remember one day just recently, I was in a Mini-Mart getting, of course, a coffee. When this girl came in. She was wearing painted on jeans and a little tank top. Which also looked painted on. No bra. Trust me, that was obvious. She was a sweet little thing. She really was. She came up and just started talking to me. She asked me what I thought of Energy Drinks. I told her that they, all but one, tasted like cough medicine to me. The only one I really found I liked was the Mocha Coffee Flavored one. I pointed out the one I was talking about. She thanked me and took it up to the counter.

I got my coffee and I went up to the counter. She paid for her energy drink, turned and placed her hand on my chest and said "Thanks" with a big smile, and walked out. The guy at the counter said, "That really is a shame ain't it?" I asked what he meant. "She is 13." Of course, you are now thinking, why is a 13 year old buying an energy drink. Because she can. There is no restriction on them. As long as they do not have alcohol, anyone can buy them. Which is a whole other post. So is the erosion of modesty and personal space. {Smile}

But why does a 13 year old look 20? What changed? Seriously? The only thing that could be possibly linked, to these major physical changes in people, is what we consume. The air is not doing it. Culture is not doing it. Evolution? For what reason? We mature physically much sooner and live much longer. So? The only thing that makes sense IS what we consume. Food. Genetically Modified Food.

Now the debate has also been brewing for years about labeling. The simple question is this. Do you want to know? Seriously. Just like the Pink Slime debate. Do you want to know? Will it change the way you shop? The way you eat. Will it change your thinking about what you are putting in your body? Or would you rather not know, just continue to eat whatever you want, as long as it tastes good?

Many have had enough. I love this story. It was in the New York Times -Battle Brewing Over Labeling of Genetically Modified Food
GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — On a recent sunny morning at the Big Y grocery here, Cynthia LaPier parked her cart in the cereal aisle. With a glance over her shoulder and a quick check of the ingredients, she plastered several boxes with hand-designed stickers from a roll in her purse. “Warning,” they read. “May Contain GMO’s (Genetically Modified Organisms).”
{Laughing} Got give her credit. She truly believes in something, and she is doing something about it. Not sure the Store would see it this way though.
For more than a decade, almost all processed foods in the United States — cereals, snack foods, salad dressings — have contained ingredients from plants whose DNA was manipulated in a laboratory.
Regulators and many scientists say these pose no danger. But as Americans ask more pointed questions about what they are eating, popular suspicions about the health and environmental effects of biotechnology are fueling a movement to require that food from genetically modified crops be labeled, if not eliminated.
Labeling bills have been proposed in more than a dozen states over the last year, and an appeal to the Food and Drug Administration last fall to mandate labels nationally drew more than a million signatures. There is an iPhone app: ShopNoGMO.
Of course there is an App. There is a always an App.
The most closely watched labeling effort is a proposed ballot initiative in California that cleared a crucial hurdle this month, setting the stage for a probable November vote that could influence not just food packaging but the future of American agriculture.

Tens of millions of dollars are expected to be spent on the election showdown. It pits consumer groups and the organic food industry, both of which support mandatory labeling, against more conventional farmers, agricultural biotechnology companies like Monsanto and many of the nation’s best-known food brands like Kellogg’s and Kraft.
Now before you get thinking I've jumped to the dark side, this is NOT about Liberals vs the Free Market. It really isn't. Liberals, Conservatives, Republicans, Democrats, Christians, Atheists, EVERYONE, eat. We all consume these products. I have no problem labeling what you are consuming. That includes Organic and "Free Range." I want to know. I want the freedom to make an informed decision. If we find that we do not like something, like Pink Slime, we simply do not buy it. If YOU do not care, do not read the label. Just buy whatever you want, eat, and enjoy.
The heightened stakes have added fuel to a long-simmering debate over the merits of genetically engineered crops, which many scientists and farmers believe could be useful in meeting the world’s rapidly expanding food needs.

Supporters of labeling argue that consumers have a right to know when food has been modified with genes from another species, which they say is fundamentally different from the selective breeding process used in nearly all crops.

Almost all the corn and soybeans grown in the United States now contain DNA derived from bacteria. The foreign gene makes the soybeans resistant to an herbicide used in weed control, and causes the corn to produce its own insecticide.

“It just makes me nervous when you take genetic matter from something else that wouldn’t have been done in nature and put it into food,” said Ms. LaPier, 44, a mental health counselor whose guerrilla labeling was inspired by the group Label It Yourself. She worries that her daughter, 5, could one day suffer ill effects like allergies.
Or she goes through puberty at 10. Not to mention all the other health problems in later life that may or may not be linked to consumption of all the garbage we consume. No one is saying that YOU should not eat whatever you want. What I am saying, and many others, is that we want the choice. THAT seems to be the sticking point.
Farmers, food and biotech companies and scientists say that labels might lead consumers to reject genetically modified food — and the technology that created it — without understanding its environmental and economic benefits. A national science advisory organization in 2010 termed those benefits “substantial,” noting that existing biotech crops have for years let farmers spray fewer or less harmful chemicals, though the emergence of resistant weeds and insects threatens to blunt that effect.
So? We have labels now. Pork, beef, chicken. If I do not like pork, I read the label, I see pork, I do not buy it. However, many others do buy it. Now imagine no labels. Of course, you can see the obvious. A chicken leg pretty much looks like a chicken leg. But if you want a little whole chicken, maybe your buying a duck. Labels are not evil. They are informative.

It goes on a bit, however, the argument is really simple. Do you want to know? Do you feel you have a right to know? I say yes. Again, may things out there are produced in ways that you most likely would not appreciate. So if you like something, buy it. Eat it. Whatever. Do not get curious. Do not ask questions. Just enjoy. However, If you care, you should have a right to make an informed decision.

DLA For Sunday 052712

Welcome to America. Now if you really love this country, assimilate.

Hey folks,

Do not eat meat on Fridays. Do not eat meat period. Do not watch TV. Do not listen to this type of music. Do not listen to any music. Do not do anything that could be considered work on the Sabbath Day. That includes anything electronic. Do not wear makeup. Pray three times a day facing east. Do not take the Lord's name in vain. All these things, and much much more, are religious laws. They are religious rules and observations that the faithful, within whatever religion, are commanded to observe.

If you, being nonreligious, decide you do not care about the Sabbath, or you decide you like meat, or you do not care about swearing, you do not have to follow these ordinances of faith. If you are religious, you have a right in this country TO observe these ordinances.

Now, go to China. Go to Cuba. Go to England. Wherever. Tell them that you do not agree with their law on this or that. Demand that they change their laws to suit you. See what happens to you. Do you think they will just bow down to you, and change who they are, just for you?

The simple answer is no. As a matter of fact, you may be asked to leave. If you are lucky. In some cases, if you do not get killed, you may get locked up in jail for years. Why do you think so many people risk their very lives to come here? Freedom.

So there is a move in this country, by some in the Islamic Religion, that want to bring Sharia Law to America. Others feel that if someone is arrested, they should be tried under the laws of their given religion. Or in a divorce or other civil matters, the court needs to observe religious laws and commandments when attempting to decide the case. In other words. If Muslim Males beheads their Wives, it should be OK, because it's in their religion.

I guess that would mean that Rastafarians have a right to smoke all the Ganja they want. Anyone can do whatever they want as long as they are following their religious ordinances. Forget the fact that this may be against American law. It may supersede someone else's rights. Like the right to life.

So our Winner of the Display of Logic Award, stood up, and did the right thing.
Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback has signed a law aimed at keeping the state's courts or government agencies from basing decisions on Islamic or other foreign legal codes, and a national Muslim group's spokesman said Friday that a court challenge is likely.
The new law, taking effect July 1, doesn't specifically mention Shariah law, which broadly refers to codes within the Islamic legal system. Instead, it says courts, administrative agencies or state tribunals can't base rulings on any foreign law or legal system that would not grant the parties the same rights guaranteed by state and U.S. constitutions.
"This bill should provide protection for Kansas citizens from the application of foreign laws," said Stephen Gele, spokesman for the American Public Policy Alliance, a Michigan group promoting model legislation similar to the new Kansas law. "The bill does not read, in any way, to be discriminatory against any religion."
Nope. What it does, is says that Courts have to try cases based on US law. Imagine that. You live in America. You need to follow American laws. Really?
Brownback's office notified the state Senate of his decision Friday, but he actually signed the measure Monday. The governor's spokeswoman, Sherriene Jones-Sontag, said in a statement that the bill "makes it clear that Kansas courts will rely exclusively on the laws of our state and our nation when deciding cases and will not consider the laws of foreign jurisdictions."
Why would you? Seriously. Why would an American Court observe foreign law? Now the PEOPLE of the State of Oklahoma already spoke on this..
Oklahoma voters approved a ballot initiative in 2010 that specifically mentioned Shariah law, but both a federal judge and a federal appeals court blocked it.
Of course they did. Liberals do not care about the People. They do not care about America. Or American law. They care about agendas and votes. They care about themselves and what they think is the right way to view anything. They are always right, and the smartest people in the room, in their minds, and you will do whatever they tell you to. If not, they will simply ignore you. In some cases, create laws, to force you to see things their way.

I have no idea why this was even an issue. Congratulation Gov. Sam Brownback, for doing the obvious and right thing here, spelling out to the courts, that they have to follow US Law, {Sigh} You ARE the Winner of the Display of Logic Award for today, Sunday, May 27th 2012. Now can we maybe pass a law that says the President and his Administration need to follow the US Constitution? They obviously do not think so.

IWA for Sunday 052712

Once again, MANY Idiots to chose from.

Hey folks,

You know that the left is getting desperate. They publicly say that they think Obama will win in a landslide, yet, everything they are doing tells the real story. But I wanted to award the IWA to one Liberal that gives us a crystal clear, real life example, of the way liberals see things.

This really is too funny. This is also a crystal clear, real life example of the indoctrination that is going on in our public school system. I'm sure you have heard about our idiot by now. She is a teacher. She is suspended with pay for now. She should be removed from the classroom. She is not stable.

So I guess she has a segment, or a time of the day, when she discusses "The Fact of the Day" or whatever, and she brought up the allegations of Romney bullying some other kid, back in 1965. Well, a student asked why she wants to discuss that and not that Obama admits, in his own words, that he bullied a little girl in school? Folks, you have got to hear this for yourself.

Last Monday, a high school student in North Carolina engaged his social studies teacher in a heated debate about politics and the two leading presidential candidates. During the exchange, the teacher (an obvious Obama supporter) got very angry with the student and accused him of disrespecting the president. She even went so far as to tell the boy that he could be jailed for speaking ill of Obama.
Sarah Campbell of the Salisbury Post first reported on the story. She claims that the school district is not releasing the name of the teacher and that she is not responding to requests for public comment (although the two students identified her to the newspaper). According to Campbell’s story, the teacher will not be suspended or even face disciplinary action for what was heard on the recording. A statement from the school was released at the end of the week:
“The Rowan-Salisbury School System expects all students and employees to be respectful in the school environment and for all teachers to maintain their professionalism in the classroom.
This incident should serve as an education for all teachers to stop and reflect on their interaction with students. Due to personnel and student confidentiality, we cannot discuss the matter publicly.”So, how bad was the exchange? It got fairly heated, with the teacher shouting at times. The kerfuffle started after one student asked a question about the teacher’s “fact of the day” that said Romney was a bully back in high school.
A student asked:
“Didn’t Obama bully somebody, though?”
The teacher started to get angry and said:
“Not to my knowledge.”
A couple of students relayed the story about Obama admitting that he bullied someone when he was younger. And that seemed to light the fuse on his teacher’s anger. A couple of the students exchanged words with the angry teacher.
“Stop! Stop! Because there’s no comparison. He’s running for president. Obama is the president.”
As one student attempted to argue for a fair, two-sided debate on the history of the candidates, he was shouted down and talked over by the teacher. She continued:
“You got to realize, this man is wanting to be what Obama is. There’s no comparison.”
Once again, the students pressed for equal discussion of the histories of both men, with one saying:
“If you’re gonna talk trash about one side, you gotta talk trash about the other.”
The teacher just seemed to dig her heels in deeper and press her defense of Obama telling the defiant teen:
“You will not disrespect the president of the United States in this classroom.”
Again the student persisted and invoked his First Amendment right.
“I’ll say what I want.”
The still unidentified teacher read the student her rules…her Obama rules.
“Not about him, you won’t!”
 Not about him you won't. {Laughing} We will say anything we want about anyone we want. But YOU. You better not dare even think about talking bad about Obama. You racist, hate filled hick. He is Obama. He is the one. I do not care that you are telling the truth. You will say NOTHING negative about Obama. Ya Hear me? {Laughing}
The back and forth continued and the most strident of the two students reminded his teacher that President Bush was constantly treated to negative statements about him while he was in office:
“Whenever Bush was president, everybody talked sh-t about him.”
To which the teacher responded:
“Because he was sh-tty.
Wait. I thought the whole point was you can't talk bad about the President? OH. You CAN talk bad about the President, as long as he is not named Obama. You see folks, this is who these idiots are. This particular idiot most likely does see Obama as "the one" or a God like being. She will attack anyone that she thinks is attacking her messiah.
The social studies educator went on for a full minute with more ranting, saying that people were arrested for saying derogatory things about President Bush. The student correctly reminded the teacher that opinions are protected, but you cannot be arrested unless you threaten the president.
Our research has not turned up a single case of anyone in America being arrested for speaking ill of former President Bush. The local newspaper story also mentioned that their discussions about the story with a political science professor could not recall the arrests that the teacher was speaking about.
Update:
We learned the name and the fate of the Social Studies teacher heard on the video posted below. Toyna Dixon-Neely is the woman heard yelling at students who dared to express negative opinions about President Obama. We also found out that Ms. Dixon-Neely’s outrageous statements may not have led to a strict punishment: the local newspaper is reporting that she has been suspended with pay. (Curiously the Huffington Post says that the teacher is on an unpaid suspension, pending the outcome of the investigation by the school board.)
The entire confrontation was recorded by a student and posted on YouTube. Listen below; slight content warning for language.
Congratulations to ya Ms. Dixon-Neely. Thank you for showing us a real life example of who and what you liberals really are. However, going off on a student, you ARE the idiot of the week. Good luck with your suspension. I personally think you need to rethink your career choice.

Be Prepared For Any "Season" You Are Facing

Here is something  I'm interesting in checking out.

Hey folks

I remember living in NY. There were some days in the Winter, that you just could not go out. Snow storms and all that. Now living in Florida, I have been through more than my share of Hurricanes. Back a few years back, there was one that stuck around for three days. We had no power, whatsoever, for two weeks.

No matter where you live, you have "seasons." If you live up north, you have Winter. Here in normally sunny south Florida, Hurricane season. If you live in the Heartland, Tornado season. ETC. It one takes one bad day, and it can disrupt your life for days.

So why am I telling you this. Anyone that has gone through this, knows what happens. No stores. No Water. No food. Nothing. Every year the news tells you what is coming, and gives you tips on how to prepare. Many do. Some don't. These are those in the FEMA lines, trying to get the water, emergency food rations, if you get there early enough and before they run out.

So it is always a good idea, even if you think, well, it can't happen in my town, to be prepared. Here in Florida, we are creeping up on June 1st. The official start of the Hurricane season. The "Snow Birds" are heading back up north. People are putting up shutters. People are watching the news. Some are buying up the can food and non-perishables. But lets face it. How much canned green beans can one eat?

So since it's Friday, I was checking the Emails, opntalk@gmail.com, for the "From the Email Segment" and I found this. It's from Hannah. Now I know this is a company, trying to sell you a product. I get that. But this is not a paid advertisement. It IS a good idea. It is also something I will be checking out.

The company is called eFoodsDirect. Here. This is from their website.

Now I will admit, I never heard of this company. So when I saw this, I checked out the website. You should do that as well. Again, this is not a paid advertisement. But it IS a great idea.

I'll tell ya what folks. I will try the food. Yup. I will try the food and I will report back to you my honest opinion of the product. As many of you know, I do not advertise a lot here. I never advertise anything I do not believe in or have not tried. So I'll try this. I will let you know soon.

But regardless of your opinion on why I am posting this, it is always a good idea to be prepared for anything, no matter what "season" you are in. Here is a way that seems to be an easy, and really affordable way, to assist you in your preparation for come what may.

Have a great weekend folks. See you Sunday..
