Next Crises Coming Disability

Unemployment run out? Can't get a job? Are you disabled?

Hey folks,

One of the things that we have seen first hand, is the failure of many Liberal policies. There are simply not enough to take from, and way too many to give to. In other words, we can no longer afford all this. There is just no more money.

Another thing we have seen Liberal policies bring us is a record high unemployment number. Due to attacks on entire industries, oppressive regulations, threats of increased taxation, and many other Liberal mandated policies, big business cut back, laid off, and or even shut down.

We just got the latest jobs report. Obama says we are heading in the right direction. REALLY? Hey, the unemployment rate dropped to 8.1 percent. Yes. But that is a HORRIBLE thing. And a completely made up number as well. The real unemployment rate is about 11 percent. If you look at the U 6 number, under employed, it's much much higher than even that. But lets stick with the 11 percent number.

It is all about the labor force participation rate. Had this stayed where it was in June 2009, the jobless rate would be around 11 percent. That simply means, that there are less people actually looking for work. Thanks to Obama and crew, there are less jobs to have to begin with. So the number magically dropped.

I'm not going to get into all the numbers. If you are not a numbers person it gets a little wonky and you have a risk of getting lost in the numbers and missing the point I'm trying to make. But there is a number I want you to pay attention to. 5 million workers. Yup. 5 million.

That is the number of workers and their families that have enrolled in the disability program since President Obama took office. What happens when your 99 weeks of unemployment runs out, and you still cannot find a job? Well? File for Social Security Disability.

As IBD reported recently, more than 5 million workers and their families have enrolled in the disability program since President Obama took office.
The Obama administration's economic advisers warned in a report last fall that the mass exodus of workers who can't find a job onto the disability rolls poses a long-term risk to the economy. Once enrolled, they almost never return to the active workforce. This can, the report said, result "in a loss to society of the economic contribution those workers could have made."
Now we have already seen a dangerous trend in SS. There are more and more people going to be needed it. Less and less people that will be paying for it. Now that money is running out in unemployment benefits, more and more people are forced to file for SS. Even less people paying for it. What do you think happens to all these people when money runs out?

Look folks, it really is simple. There is no liberal utopia in reality. Zero. You can not get everything you need, from the cradle to the grave, from the government. They simply do not have the money to cover it all. Who's going to pay for it? The more people unemployed and dependent on the government IS a good thing for those in power and those that promise to keep the free ride going. However, the less people actually participating in funding these programs, is NOT good for our country and even those on these programs. The money will simply run out.

More people than anytime in history are on food stamps. More people than any other time in history are unemployed. More people than any other time in history are losing their homes. Many of those are now relying on government funding to keep a roof over their heads. More people than at any other time in history, are now filing disability. This is not a Republican vs Democrat thing. This is not a Right vs Left thing. This is reality. We simply can not afford to continue down this road. It is totally unsustainable.
