Display of Logic Award 041512

Not ashamed of Jesus and His Word.

Hey folks,

Ever watch an Award Show? Most Celebrities come out to receive their Awards and the thank a bunch of people. Most, however, start by thanking God. Ever hear these Celebrities talk about God, the Bible, Faith, or anything related any other time? The answer most of the time is no.

Ever watch an Athlete win a Championship? They come out and thank a bunch of people and they usually start with God themselves. Ever hear most of them talk about God, the Bible, or Faith any other time? Nope.

Then you have Politicians that become Religious when the opportunity calls for it. But do they talk about God, the Bible, or Faith any other time? Usually no. Then again, you have Preachers. Those that make a living out of preaching about God, the Bible, and Faith. Some make a GREAT living doing so.

It is really rare however, to have someone that is Faithful, believes in God, and has an abundance of Faith, that is not afraid to stand up and talk about it. Someone who is bold enough, not to make a living Preaching, but simply be themselves. Our Winner of the Display of Logic Award is such a person. His name? Tim Tebow.

Well, Easter Sunday is one of those Sundays that most people, even if they do not regularly attend Church, go to Church. Easter and Christmas. But Easter Sunday, most Churches all across the Country hold Sunrise Outdoor Services. I attended one here in Sunny South Florida. There is a Church in Georgetown Texas that did the same. However, they had a special guest. His name was Tim Tebow.

This Article by Jade Mingus is too funny. It seems Jade can't believe what he saw. {Laughing} According to

GEORGETOWN, Texas -- Easter is the Superbowl of Sundays for churches, and an NFL star turned Celebration Church's outdoor service into a semi-sporting event.
Church goers wore Tim Tebow's jersey and his iconic eye black, complete with his favorite scripture -- John 3:16.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life," Dakota Shipman recited.
Tebow didn't exactly preach -- instead the pastor of Celebration Church interviewed Tebow. He asked questions ranging from leadership to his famous prayers on the football field.
"I really don't think I was the first athlete to get on a knee and pray," Tebow said. "I had the same routine for the last seven years, and this past year they called it 'Tebowing,' which I have no idea why.
A crowd of roughly 30,000 listened from lawn chairs and blankets. The atmosphere was more of a rock concert than a quiet church service.
A Rock Concert? I'm truly wondering if Jade ever attended this Church before. I've been in Churches where it was like something right out of the Blues Brothers. I have been in somber Churches, and ones that did have the feeling of a Rock Concert, on a normal Sunday. Church doesn't have to be boring folks.

It goes on to talk about how big this was, and the fact, I'm not sure if Jade is upset at this or not, but he seems, uh, amazed? I guess that's the word. That Tim Tebow pretty much stuck to Faith. Really?

A devout Christian, Tebow's main focus Sunday was his faith.

"Regardless of what happens, I still honor my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, because at the end of the day, that's what's important, win or lose," Tebow said.

Tebow is An NFL quarter back, not passing up the chance to share his faith with willing receivers.
"We need to get back to one nation under God, and be role models for kids," Tebow said. He went on to say that he hopes one day high school athletes will feel okay getting down on one knee on the football field.

Tebow stuck to Faith, God, and the Bible, at a CHURCH event, on EASTER SUNDAY? Yup. That is amazing. (Smile) Congratulations Tim Tebow. You ARE the Winner of the Display of Logic Award for today, Sunday, April 15th, 2012. It was good to see someone bold enough to not care about what people may think or say. The courage to just be yourself is not always a trait that people possess. Keep being the role model  you are.
Peter
