OK. So the looming Zombie Apocalypse. My son Joshua's favorite, I have to admit, one of my favorites as well, video game, is the "Left 4 Dead" series. Basically, it's the same old story. A bad day, bad stuff happens. The walking dead start eating people. If you are bit, you turn into one of the walking dead. You and three other survivors have to escape.
I know, I know, I can hear some of you now. You let your son play this? Yup. Why? Because he knows the difference between a video game and reality. Can't wait for Left 4 Dead 3.
Now there has always been some out there that actually believe that this could happen in real life. Hence, the Zombie Apocalypse Store in Vegas and various places all over the Internet that sell stuff for this event. And of course, the people that actually buy the stuff. But then again, look at the news recently?
A man in Miami happens upon a homeless man on the sidewalk and chews off 75% of his face in an 18-minute attack. The attacker's mother later says her son is not a zombie as portrayed in the media.
Authorities in Canada have launched a massive manhunt for a suspect after a severed hand was sent to Canada's Liberal Party, a foot to the Conservatives and a torso was stuffed in a suitcase and tossed in the trash of the Montreal apartment building where he lived.
A Maryland man admits to killing his housemate, cutting him up, then eating his heart and part of his brain.
A New Jersey man rips his torso open and throws bits of his intestines at police, according to the Bergen Record.On it goes. In an ever increase regularity. The most famous right this second is the Miami "Zombie" but there are many more in growing numbers. Some say it's drugs. Here in Florida, they are blaming "Bath Salts." Some are saying that this is not new, and if there is no other "Zombie" like attacks, in say a week or so, this will go away. The talk of a Zombie Apocalypse that is.
What do you believe? I personally believe these people are just sick in the head. But hey, with all the hours we have spend killing Zombies. I know me and my son will be ready. {Smile}
